This course provides participants with the knowledge and practical skills needed to respond confidently and effectively to workplace fire emergencies. Through hands-on training, students learn proper techniques for deploying fire blankets and operating fire extinguishers using the PASS method (Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep).

Upon completion, participants will possess the competence to assess fire situations and take immediate action to control small fires, fulfilling regulatory compliance while empowering employees to actively contribute to workplace safety.

Throughout the course, students will learn how to respond to a range of emergency situations, including fires, evacuations, medical emergencies, and security threats. Training covers the roles and responsibilities of ECO members, how to communicate effectively with building occupants and emergency services, and the procedures for safely evacuating or managing individuals during an emergency. Students will also be taught how to implement emergency plans, operate emergency communication systems, and follow safety protocols.

The combined units skill set provide comprehensive training for individuals designated as Wardens and Chief Wardens in workplaces. This course equips participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively manage and coordinate emergency responses, ensuring the safety of all personnel during critical situations. It is ideal for those working in environments such as offices, factories, schools, and public facilities. Upon completion of the PUAFER005 and PUAFER006 units, participants will be equipped to act as effective Wardens or Chief Wardens, ensuring a structured and efficient response to emergencies. This course ensures that workplaces are prepared to handle various emergencies, enhancing safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Throughout the course, participants will learn how to lead emergency responses, including directing wardens, managing evacuations, and ensuring communication with emergency services. The training covers risk assessment, decision-making under pressure, and the use of emergency equipment and communication systems. Emphasis is placed on implementing emergency plans, coordinating with facility management and external responders, and ensuring that all procedures are followed during incidents such as fires, medical emergencies, and security threats.
